Cationic cyclophanes-in-cucurbit[10]uril: host-in-host complexes showing cooperative recognition towards neutral phenol guests
نویسندگان
چکیده
Cucurbit[10]uril (CB[10]) is found to form stable host-guest complexes with tetracationic cyclophanes in H2O and DMSO. Upon encapsulation CB[10], the affinity of towards anions weakened, due electronegative carbonyl oxygens on CB[10] providing charge repulsion environment, fixing conformation cyclophanes. Interestingly, these show positively cooperative effects neutral phenol guests heteroternary complexes. The driving force for formation inclusion multiple hydrogen bonding interactions confirmed by X-ray single crystal analysis, as well hydrophobic effects.

Capsular complexes of nonpolar guests with octa amine host detected in the gas phase.
Nanocapsules, made up of the deep cavitand octa amine and several guests, were prepared in aqueous acidic solution and were found to be stable in the gas phase as detected by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). The observed gas phase host-guest complexes contained five positive charges and were associated with several acid molecules (HCl or HBr).
متن کاملCationic host defense (antimicrobial) peptides.
Members of the cationic host defense (antimicrobial) peptide family are widely distributed in nature, existing in organisms from insects to plants to mammals and non-mammalian vertebrates. Although many demonstrate direct antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi, eukaryotic parasites and/or viruses, it has been established that cationic peptides have a key modulatory role in the innate im...

The formation constants (log K), of the complexes formed between a number of amino acids(glycine , L-valine and L-alanine) with p-sulfonatocalix [4] arene at varying temperatures (25± 0.1to 65 ± 0.1 °C) in aqueous solutions and at natural pH of p-sulphonato-calix [4] arene (pH=3.2) bymeans of UV-Vis spectrophotometeric technique have been investigated. At this pH the guestmolecule is in its cat...

The gut microbiota has recently emerged as an important, and previously unappreciated, player in host physiology (1). In particular, the gut microbiota contributes to a variety of physiological and pathophysiological processes in the host including immune disorders (2–4), atherosclerosis (5), irritable bowel syndrome (6, 7), blood pressure regulation (8), and chronic kidney disease (9, 10).
